Tip Jar #7 - Video from Live LabVIEW Session for FRC Competitors in Toronto

Updated 2010 FRC Videos Now Online:

This Blog entry is the third in a series intended primarily for FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) teams and their mentors.

This video and screencast was recorded at a session I gave at East York Collegiate Institute in Toronto, Ontario Canada (team 907) on December 12, 2008. Special thanks to the FRC team and teachers there for hosting our session, we had over 50 students and mentors come together to discuss using LabVIEW on their robots.

We had a very lively day, with lots of excellent discussion, questions, and experimentation. These students never cease to amaze me.

The three videos below total about 40 minutes in length and some of the topics we covered are:
Launching the default LabVIEW Robot code
Understanding the structure of the default code
Adding comments to code
How to modify the default code:
Changing to tank drive
Adding a servo motor
How to safely duplicate AND THEN MODIFY Library functions

Please! If you like (or hate) what you saw, please leave a comment by clicking here.
